CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
1 c. very rich cream sauce
1 c. fresh tomatoes
1 tbsp. onion juice
1 sm. piece of bay leaf
Pinch soda
Salt and pepper
Whipped cream

Cream sauce should be very rich the richer the better. Peel and quarter fresh ripe tomatoes. Add bay leaf and onion juice. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add tiny pinch of soda just as you are taking off the fire. combine tomatoes and cream sauce season to taste. Top each serving with a tbsp. of whipping cream.
