3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. applesauce
1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins, optional
1 c. nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 10-12 minutes. Mix butter, sugars, vanilla, egg and applesauce. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until firm. Approximately 5 dozen.
