ORANGE PECAN COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 or 2 tbsp. orange rind
2 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream Crisco and sugars thoroughly. Add egg, orange juice, and rind. Beat. Stir in flour sifted with soda. Add pecans. Shape into a 2 inch (across) roll. Chill overnight. Slice thin and bake on ungreased sheet at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
