HAZEL'S BUTTER MELTS 
1 lb. butter (no substitutes)
1 c. white sugar
1 c. cornstarch
3 1/2 c. flour
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add cornstarch, flour, salt and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Put through cookie press or make 1 inch round balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees, depending on oven. Cookies should not be brown on top, but have a mere tinge brown on bottom. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Makes approximately 10 dozen.
