BROWN GRAVY STEW 
Brown 1 1/2 to 2 pounds lean stew meat in 1 stick butter. Add 2 large onions and saute. Add 3 quarts water and bring to boil. Add carrots and potatoes. When vegetables are done, make a thick paste of flour and water and thicken your gravy. Makes a delicious meal with a green salad. You may want to use less water.
