DANISH PUFF OR SWEDISH KRINGLE 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. water

Mix like pie crust. Roll into a ball and divide in two. Press onto cookie sheet in two long thin strips, 3 inches apart.

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from heat and add flavoring. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth. Spread over each crust, sealing to edges. Bake 50-60 minutes at 375 degrees. Frost with powdered sugar frosting. Sprinkle with walnuts and cherries.
