CHICKEN STEW 
Chicken pieces
Potatoes
Onions
Bacon
Salt
P epper

The nice thing about this recipe is that you can make a large or small amount.

Place bacon strips to cover the bottom of a heavy cooking pot with lid. Layer chicken parts, peeled, sliced potatoes and slices of mild onion. Begin and end with potatoes. Sprinkle each layer lightly with salt and pepper.

Pour small amount of water down the inside of the pot so salt and pepper will remain where you placed it. Bring to boil on medium heat and then cover, turn heat to simmer and cook until chicken is "well done" and potatoes are tender (about 1 hour).
