GRANDMA'S APPLE STRUDEL 
DOUGH:

9 oz. flour
Pinch of salt
1 egg
3 tbsp. oil
1/4 pt. warm water

Blend all ingredients in a bowl. Knead dough for approximately 15 minutes until smooth. Divide into 4 pieces. Roll out each piece on a flavored surface into a round shape, very thin. Grease rolled out dough with soft butter. Sprinkle a little sugar over this.

FILLING:

12 lg. apples, peeled, cored, and shredded
1 c. brown sugar or 1 c. sugar mixed with 1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins

Spread filling over rolled out dough. Then fold dough over and over until complete. Pinch ends with fork to seal in filling. Bake for 35 minutes at 400 degrees until golden brown. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
