9 inch unbaked pie crust 1 tbsp. soft butter 6 diced bacon slices 1 sm. chopped onion 8 oz. Swiss, cheddar or Colby cheese, grated 1 tbsp. flour 3 eggs 1 c. half & half 1/2 tsp. salt Spread crust with butter. Cook bacon and onion until crisp, drain. Put on crust. Sprinkle cheese over bacon. Beat eggs, flour, half and half and salt. Pour over cheese. Bake 30 to 40 minutes (until knife comes out clean). I preheat the oven to 400 degrees, put the quiche in and bake for 15 minutes; then turn the oven to 325 degrees and bake 15 to 25 additional minutes. 8 slices. |
