HEAVENLY ROLLS 
2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
5 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. butter, melted

Scald milk; add sugar and shortening to melt. Cool to warm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to milk mixture. Add 3 cups of flour. Cover; let rise one hour. Stir in baking soda, salt, baking powder and 2 cups more flour to make soft sticky dough.

Roll out on floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Cut 2 inch circles. Brush with butter. Fold. Place on greased pan. Brush again. Let rise 1 hour. Bake 375 degrees 10 minutes. Yield: 50-60.
