ENGLISH APPLE PIE 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. water
1/2 c. chopped pecans
4 large apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Beat brown sugar and butter until fluffy. Mix flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, water and pecans. Put apples in 9-inch pie pan. Mix sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Spoon pecan mixture over apples in drops. Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes or until apples are cooked tender.
