BUSY DAY VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP | |
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 lb. ground beef 2 c. cubed raw potatoes 2 lg. carrots, sliced 1 c. diced onion 2 or 3 stalks celery, sliced 3 or 4 tbsp. uncooked rice 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 or 3 bay leaves 6 c. water Brown meat in large 5-quart pan, drain off grease. Add tomato sauce and all other ingredients; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Remove bay leaves and serve. 4 good size servings. |
