COOKED CHOCOLATE ICING 
3 to 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook chocolate, sugar, syrup, salt and milk until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Remove from heat and add butter. Let cool without stirring until lukewarm. Add vanilla and beat until spreading consistency.
