MARINATED SLAW | |
1 med. head cabbage, chopped or shredded 1 med. onion, chopped 1 med. bell pepper, chopped 2-3 carrots, shredded 3/4 c. white vinegar 3/4 c. corn oil 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. celery seed Bring vinegar, oil, sugar and celery seed to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes. Pour over slaw. Keep in a covered bowl in refrigerator. Better if marinated overnight. Can also be frozen and then thawed day you want to use it. |
