2 sq. chocolate, melted

Then add:

1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beat well
3 generous c. quick oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. or more chopped walnuts

Mix well and drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven approximately 10 minutes depending on oven. Makes 9 to 10 dozen cookies.
