HAY AND STRAW 
8 oz. green fettucini
8 oz. white fettucini
6 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. finely chopped onions
3/4 c. heavy cream
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
6 oz. boiled or baked ham, cut into 1/8 inch wide strips
3/4 c. frozen green peas, cooked

While the noodles cook, make sauce: Melt butter in a heavy 2 quart saucepan over moderate heat and brown the ham lightly. Add onion and cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently until translucent. Stir in cream, Parmesan, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low. Stir 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted. Pour sauce over hot noodles in serving bowl; toss to coat. Sprinkle with ham and peas and toss again. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
