APPLE PIE A LA MODE 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. flour
4 c. green apple, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
2 Pet Ritz pie shells

In large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the apples and put mixture in pie crust; crumble butter over apple mix and cover with the other pie crusts. Crimp edges and brush top of pie crust with a mixture of 1 egg yolk mixed with a little water. Make four slits in top crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Serve hot with ice cream.
