2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour dash pepper 1 cup milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. white pepper (optional) 1 cup shredded cheese Make a white sauce and cook over hot water in a double boiler until the mixture has thickened to desired consistency. Add seasonings and cheese, stirring until cheese has melted. This is a good sauce to use over vegetables or add to elbow macaroni for mac and cheese. |
