1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1 c. applesauce

Cream together shortening and sugar, stir in egg, sift dry ingredients. Mix in raisins and oats. Then stir in applesauce. Beat well. Drop dough from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
