CABBAGE AND CARROTS 
1 head cabbage
4 carrots
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. onion, chopped

Cut cabbage in 4 quarters. Peel and cut carrots. Start boiling water with a dash of salt and 2 tablespoons butter. Add cabbage and carrots. Bring to boil. Simmer until cabbage is limp. Add onion and bring to a boil. Add remaining salt. Let simmer on medium boil until onion is limp. Cover until tender. Cook until tender in covered pot or saucepan. Let cool. Ready to serve. A colorful and tasty vegetable of cabbage and carrots.
