CHICKEN ALA GARNET 
2 frying chickens, cut up (remove skin if desired)
1 sm. bottle Russian dressing
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 jar apricot preserves

Line baking pan with foil. Place chicken pieces in pan. Mix other 3 ingredients together and pour half over chicken. Cover loosely with foil and bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Remove foil and cover with remaining half of mixture. Bake another 30 minutes or more (uncovered) depending on size of chicken pieces. Serves 8.
