LIME PICKLES 
7 lbs. cucumbers
2 c. lime
2 gallons water
1 qt. vinegar
4 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 tsp. pickling spice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. whole cloves

Slice crosswise 7 pounds of cucumbers. Cover with a solution of 2 cups lime and 2 gallons water. Let set 24 hours. Rinse well and cover with cold water and let set 3 hours or overnight. Drain and cover with this mixture: Vinegar, sugar, pickling spice, salt, celery seed, and cloves.

Heat mixture and let cool. Pour over pickles and let set overnight. Put on stove and boil 35 minutes. Put in jars and seal.
