CHERRY NUT SLICES 
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 c. candied cherries, chopped
1 c. pecans

In a large bowl, combine sugar, butter, vanilla and egg; add flour. Mix in cherries and pecans.

Separate and form into 3 rolls. Chill for easier handling. Slice each roll into thin slices of 1/4 inch.

Bake 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove from pans immediately.

Makes about 75 to 96 cookies.
