CARROT AND CABBAGE SLAW | |
2 tbsp. granulated sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. celery seeds 1/2 c. cider vinegar 1/4 c. water 1 sm. head (1 lb.) green cabbage, shredded coarse (6 c.) 2 c. coarsely shredded carrots 1/2 c. sliced green onions Mix sugar, salt, mustard, and celery seeds in a medium serving bowl. Add in vinegar and water; stir until sugar dissolves. Add remaining ingredients, toss to mix and coat. Refrigerate at least 6 hours for flavors to blend. Makes 7 1/2 cups. 8 servings. 40 calories, 0 fat, 0 cholesterol. |
