LEMON-RAISIN CRISSCROSS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. raisins
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar and soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix well butter, sugar, eggs, and extract. Blend in dry ingredients. Add raisins and mix well. Roll in 1-inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake 8-10 minutes.
