BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER SALAD | |
1 bunch broccoli flowerets 1 head cauliflower flowerets 1/2 lb. bacon crisp 1/2 white onion SAUCE: 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing 2 tbsp. prepared mustard Mix sugar, flour, salt. Add water and vinegar. Boil until thick plus 2 minutes longer. Let cool at least 1 hour. Stir in mayonnaise and mustard. Pour sauce over vegetables with crumbled bacon. Let stand in refrigerator 2 hours. Sauce is also delicious in potato salad. |
