QUICK CHILI BEEF 'N' VEGETABLES 
2 lg. cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. chili powder
1 lb. boneless top round steak, trimmed of fat
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, carrots, and pearl onions
1 (16 oz.) can black eyed peas, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. grated lime peel
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Lettuce leaves (optional)

Heat broiler. Rub garlic and chili powder over both sides of steak; place steak on rack in broiler pan. Broil, about 4 inches from heat source, 3 to 4 minutes on each side until medium rare, or to desired doneness. Meanwhile, cook vegetables according to package directions. Cut steak into thin slices; drain vegetables. Combine steak, vegetables, black eyed peas, lime juice, grated lime peel, salt, and pepper in large bowl; toss well to mix. Serve beef mixture on lettuce lined platter, if desired.
