RAISIN FILLED COOKIES 
Dough:

2 cups sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2 eggs
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
5 cups all-purpose flour

Cream sugar, butter, and eggs. Dissolve baking powder in milk. Add baking soda, vanilla, and flour.

Chill before rolling out. Cut with a 2-inch cutter. Put 1 tsp. of filling in the center of the cookie. Place another cookie on top.

Filling:

2 cups raisins, ground
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Mix all ingredients together.
