ROLLED MOLASSES COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses; mix well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Chill dough. Roll dough 1/8" thickness on well floured board. Cut in shapes as desired. Bake at 375 degrees on greased cookie sheet. Yield: about 6 dozen.
