CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. butter, melted
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Sift flour and mix salt and baking powder. Add remaining ingredients slowly while beating. Place in buttered tube pan. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool 30 minutes in pan. NOTE: To make chocolate pound cake with above substitute: 1 cup light brown sugar for white sugar. Omit 1/2 cup all purpose flour. Add 1/2 cup cocoa. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.
