OLD FASHIONED HAMBURGERS 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. uncooked quick-cooking oats
1/4 c. finely chopped onion or 1 tbsp. instant onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2/3 c. tomato juice (or V-8)

Combine all ingredients; use 1/3 cup for each patty. Makes about 10 patties. Either fry in skillet or cook on grill 3-5 inches from coals - cooking 3-5 minutes on each side.
