DANISH APPLE CAKE | |
2 c. crumbs (dried bread, cake, zwiebach or combination) 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 1/2 c. applesauce 1/2 pt. whipping cream 2 tbsp. sugar Red jelly for garnish Brown the crumbs in a skillet with butter and sugar. Place crumbs in a serving dish alternately with tart applesauce. Allow to harden in refrigerator. Serve with sweetened whipped cream or whipped topping. Decorate with dabs of red jelly. Serves 8. |
