WALNUT LOAF 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream

FILLING:

2 tsp. soft butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter with sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift flour together with baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir flour mixture into batter alternately with sour cream.

For the filling, mix together soft butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in walnuts.

Place 1/3 of the loaf in the bottom of a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 the nut filling. Top with another 1/3 of the loaf mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining filling. Spread the remaining 1/3 of loaf mixture evenly over the top. Bake 55-60 minutes or until loaf is done. Allow to cool in the pan.
