ORIENTAL SALAD 
1 head lettuce, torn
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
5 oz. slivered almonds, toasted in bacon fat (Be careful! They burn easily!)
1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp & crumbled
1 can French fried onion rings

DRESSING:

2 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 minced onion, not too lg.
2 1/2 tbsp. honey
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. paprika

Heat dressing ingredients until sugar dissolves. Cool and add 1/4 cup oil. Shake well or put in blender. Layer ingredients in large salad bowl. At serving time, add dressing and toss.
