FROZEN VANILLA WAFER DESSERT 
1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafers
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream

Crush vanilla wafers into crumbs a little larger than you would use for pie crust. Add the butter and chopped pecans. Spread half of this into a 9 x 13 inch dish. Slice ice cream and arrange over crumbs and cover the ice cream with the rest of the crumbs. Cover and freeze. Serve with sauce below.

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
4 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 c. butter

Combine sugar, flour and cocoa, mix well. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat until thick. Serve hot over the slices of vanilla wafer dessert.

(NOTE: Do not use a coated pot. Use stainless steel.)
