CHOCOLATE PIE 
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
4 c. sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1 can evaporated milk
8 eggs, separated
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
2 frozen pie crusts

Bake the pie crust as directed. Mix 1/2 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar in a small bowl. Add water to make a paste. Separate the eggs. Combine the egg yolks, paste, 2-1/2 cups of sugar and butter. Cook on low heat stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Pour 1/2 the mixture in each pie crust.

Meringue:

8 egg whites
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar

Beat egg whites, vanilla and 1 cup of sugar until firm. Top the pies.

Bake on 400°F until brown.
