QUICK DINNER ROLLS 
1 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. shortening

Mix in one bowl. Dissolve yeast in water. Mix sugar and flour, stir half into yeast mixture. Beat with a spoon until smooth. Add egg and shortening and remaining flour/sugar mixture. Beat with a spoon until smooth. Cover, let rise 30 minutes. Grease muffin tins.

After 30 minutes, stir risen mixture down with a spoon. Drop from spoon into muffin tins, fill half way. Let rise for 20-30 minutes. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Should make 12 rolls.
