1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. flour, all-purpose
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Place dough in cookie press, form desired shape on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, not brown, 6-9 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet. Makes 5 dozen.
