5 HOUR STEW 
3 lb. beef stew meat, cut in sm. pieces
1 lg. can tomatoes
3 c. carrots, sliced
3 c. potatoes, sliced
1 c. celery, chopped
2 c. onions, chopped
4 tbsp. tapioca
1 tbsp. sugar
Salt and pepper

OPTIONAL: Omit tomatoes and add can of green beans.

Put all in covered roaster. Bake 5 hours at 250 degrees. Fill casserole (be sure it is hot). Cover with baking powder biscuits. Bake until biscuits are done.
