MEG'S PASTA SAUCE
1 jar plain spaghetti sauce
1 chicken breast, cooked
1/4 lb. shrimp, cooked
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 c. parsley, chopped
1/2 lg. red pepper, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
4 lg. tomatoes, chopped
3 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped (or 1 tsp. dried basil)
Salt
Fresh ground pepper

Throw spaghetti sauce into a pot and heat it. Add garlic, tomato paste, oregano, onion, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Shred the chicken, cut up the shrimp and add it along with red pepper, parsley and basil to the sauce. Simmer until onions are tender. Serve over your favorite pasta (linguine is my favorite) and top with grated Mozzarella cheese.

Note: Make sure the chicken and shrimp are slightly underdone when you add them to the sauce.
