SWISS STEAK DE LUXE 
2 1/2 lbs. round steak or sirloin tips
5 tbsp. flour
3 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. butter or salad oil
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic; fry in part of fat
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. sour cream
2 cans (3 oz.) sliced buttered mushrooms

Pound flour, salt, and pepper in steak. Brown in fat. Add soup and sour cream. Cook slowly, covered, for 2 hours at 325 degrees. Add mushrooms that have been sauteed in part of butter or oil. Cook 15 minutes, 300 to 325 degrees. Add water to meat if needed. Serves 8.
