CRESCENT ROLL HOT DISH 
1 lb. lean hamburger
1/2 c. chopped onion (medium to small)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) can drained mushroom pieces
4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese

Fry hamburger and onion, drain and add other ingredients and put in bottom of an 8 x 8 inch pan. Sprinkle with cheese.

1/2 can of 8 count Pillsbury crescent rolls

Arrange on top to make crust. Pinch seams.

1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. sweet basil

Mix and pour over crust leaving about 1/2 inch margin all around the edges.

Other 1/2 can of crescent rolls

On a board form another crust, pinching the seams together. Lay on the sour cream mixture and pinch both crusts together to envelope the sour cream mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. (Serves 4 very well - 6 smaller servings.)
