HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1 cup (2 sticks) butter 2 cups sugar 4 eggs 1 cup Hershey's chocolate syrup 1 cup buttermilk 2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 (7 1/2 oz.) regular Hershey's candy bar Cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, and heat well. Add Hershey's syrup and buttermilk. Add vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to above mixture. Melt the candy bar in top of double boiler. Pour into batter. Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until cake tests done. Note: Be sure you have a large tube pan with a stationery center. |
