CRANBERRY ORANGE BREAD 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Juice and Grated Rind of one orange
1 egg 2 tbsp. shortening (melted)
1 c, fresh cranberries 1/2 c. walnut meats (chopped)

Put dry ingredients together into large bowl. Put juice and grated orange rind in measuring cup, add enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup and add to dry mixture. Add egg and melted shortening and mix just enough to moisten flour mixture. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan at 325 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
