1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. applesauce
Less than 1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt
Flour to stiffen

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and applesauce. Add dry ingredients. Drop onto greased cookie sheet 1 teaspoon at a time 2" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. May add nuts, raisins or any desired dry chopped fruit.
