FROZEN FRUIT SALAD | |
2 eggs 4 tbsp. sugar 4 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 c. minced maraschino cherries 1 c. almonds or pecans, broken 1 c. miniature marshmallows 1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained and reserved 1 reg. size strawberry Jello 1 pt. whipping cream Beat eggs with sugar. Add vinegar. Cook until thick. Cool. Heat juice from pineapple to boiling and dissolve Jello in it. Let it start to thicken. Add marshmallows to pineapple and cherries. Add dressing, whip cream and fold into Jello. Add nuts. Pour into 9 x 13 inch dish and freeze. Keeps well. Will serve 12. Can use 12 ounce size Cool Whip instead of whipped cream. |
