FRESH APPLE-CHIP CAKE 
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. + 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts
1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips

Cream sugar and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Pour dry ingredients and oil into creamed mixture. Beat just enough to be mixed. Add apples, nuts and chips. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in ungreased 9"x12" pan.

ICING:

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1 c. brown sugar

Cook in top of double boiler for 5 minutes. Spread on top of hot cake.
