CREAM FILLED CHOCOLATE
2 sticks softened butter
2 lb. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. milk, approximately

You need just enough milk to give the mixture a smooth texture and make it workable, just a bit thinner than soft play dough. Mix the above items together with fork or your fingers until smooth and pliable. Roll mixture into balls, about 1 tablespoon. Place on buttered cookie sheets and freeze until firm. Dip balls or patties into melted (dark or milk) chocolate. Place on buttered cookie sheets to cool and set.

VARIATIONS:

Vanilla Cream: Add vanilla flavoring to mixture to suit your taste.

Maple Cream: Same as above.

Coconut Cream: Add shredded coconut to mixture.

Dark Secrets: Form creamed mixture around 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of peanut butter (for hidden filling). Roll into ball; proceed with directions. Best dipped in dark chocolate.

Chocolate Covered Cherries: Drain maraschino cherries; form creamed mixture around cherry to make a ball. Proceed with rest of directions.

Old Fashioned Chocolate Drops: Form mixture (vanilla flavored) into small cone shapes and freeze to set. Dip in melted dark or milk chocolate. Place on buttered cookie sheet to cool.

Nut Filled Creams: Roll mixture around nuts to form a ball. Filberts, cashews, pecans, walnuts, etc. Freeze to set; dip in melted chocolate.

For variety: other fillings can be jellies, raisins, fresh strawberries or raspberries, gum drops. Let your taste and imagination guide you.
