CARAMEL POPCORN 
14 c. popcorn, popped
1 can mixed nuts

COATING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Boil the above coating ingredients for 5 minutes (hard ball stage). Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well. Mix in the nuts while coating the corn. When cooled, enjoy eating!
