POPPY SEED BREAD 
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. oil
2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Grease and flour 2 regular loaf pans or 5 mini loaves. Stir together dry ingredients (first 4 ingredients) and set aside. Whip together liquids (next 5 ingredients) and stir liquid mixture into dry ingredients. Add poppy seeds and stir 2 minutes more.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pans and poke holes with toothpick. Drizzle with glaze.

Glaze:

1/4 c. orange juice (not concentrate)
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Warm 45 seconds in microwave and drizzle over warm loaves.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
